Job Description
Responsible for serving as a liaison between external and internal customers while working to facilitate the pre-production, production and post-production process for projects manufactured at Joseph A. Interiors.  
Will also have responsibilities related to generating new sales and expanding existing customer base to include prospecting, scheduling meetings, closing deals, negotiating contracts, building and maintaining long-term client and employee relationships.  In this role the individual is expected to: maximize results by managing customer accounts and increasing sales to existing accounts, educating the customers, and promoting customer relations by soliciting feedback and responding to the customer when needed.
The individual in this position is expected to actively participate as a member of management to assist the company develop and meet strategic objectives as well as work on continuous improvements to enhance growth and profitability.
  • Minimum of 7 years architectural woodwork experience, preferably in a Project Management function where scheduling, organization and customer service have been present.  
  • Ability to understand and interpret architectural blueprints and specifications as well as read and understand shop drawings. 
  • Must have some experience in custom woodwork drafting; basic knowledge of custom woodwork design construction, standards and installation; knowledge of standard casework. 
  • Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).  Ability to learn new software programs. 
  • Strong math skills and the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. 
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Communication and organizational skills required, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively; work effectively and efficiently under pressure and time deadlines; analyze problems (not just symptoms); propose reasonable solutions, make logical decisions, carry-out decisions made, and follow up with feedback where appropriate. 
  • Must be self-motivated and independent, able to work effectively with minimum supervision, and multi-task.  Must be assertive and achievement-driven, possess high integrity and ethics, and have the ability to work diplomatically under stressful conditions and pressure.
  • Must possses the ability to work collaboratively with all parties involved in job projects.
